Three pressing realities make it hard to pass our faith onto our kids.
Teens face lots of pressureFrom peers to parents, teachers to coaches, and our culture's idea of "cool", teens are trying to make everyone happy. Forging their own beliefs and convictions without feeling controlled, disliked or like a loser is just plain hard in this season of life.
|
Teens contend with their parents.Parents often feel they no longer have influence in their teenager's lives. When that happens they either stop trying, or start controlling. And many parents feel paralyzed when it comes discussing their faith.
|
Teens lose connection to the gospel. When talking with parents gets tough, a major connection to the gospel is broken. Teens look elsewhere for understanding and guidance. Those who “get them” will gain their allegiance and influence how they see God and the Bible.

Countdown will help you connect with your teenager
and give them the guidance they need before they leave home.
At COUNTDOWN you will learn:
"The Countdown content was right to the point: powerful instruction and interaction. Loved the humor and God-inspired teaching. The speaker was very knowledgeable in the critical areas of connection with our teen and God. Thanks.” “Great speaker! Good points covered! I thought of so many other friends that I wish were here at Countdown listening to this with me!"
"Preparing our kids for their adult life doesn’t happen just in the last years of high school - It happens in the seemingly trivial moments early on when our kids start gaining independence. I left Countdown with a greater understanding of adolescence and thankful to have some great parenting wisdom for the teen years.”
