In a relay race the most important part is the transition – when the baton moves from one runner’s hand to the next. At gradGUIDES, we want every Christian graduate to continue on with Jesus by making a smooth transition from their present Christian community to their next Christian community after high school.

To fulfill this vision seniors will need more than a slap on the back and the admonition to “plug in somewhere.” They'll need a series of conversations about life after high school. Real life change takes place through the relationship a high school senior has with a caring adult. You can be that life-changing person God uses.

You don't have to be perfect - just an honest and dependent follower of Jesus. But you will need to initiate and listen, which will have a huge influence on your senior's successful spiritual transition. If you can manage a calendar and know how to keep a conversation going while sneaking sips of a beverage, then you have the skills necessary to be a gradGUIIDE.
Will you commit to the following statement? I will view my student’s senior year not as the end of high school, but as the beginning of a major life transition, and will prepare them for the specific challenges they will face in their next environment - college, work or military – by helping them:
